who is looking to hire a Specialist, Lease Documentation - Legal Affairs for their Montreal office .

The legal affairs technician specializing in commercial real estate will play a crucial role in legal and administrative support related to commercial real estate transactions.

The incumbant will work closely with lawyers and the leasing department to ensure legal compliance and facilitate the process of acquiring, disposing of or leasing commercial real estate.

Responsibilities

A preview of the expected tasks tat the selected candidate will be required to complete :

  • Draft and prepare rental contracts, purchase agreements, amendments and other necessary legal documents.
  • Analyze legal documentation to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the drafting and negotiation of contractual clauses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external lawyers and stakeholders to
  • facilitate the transaction process.
  • Monitor deadlines and conditions precedent to ensure efficient closing of transactions.
  • Organize and maintain legal documentation in a systematic manner;
  • Create and update property records and databases related to real estate transactions

Qualifications

TALENTS WANTED

  • Superior writing skills in English the work environment is French-speaking but the external stakeholders will be essentially unilingual English speakers;
  • Skill in negotiating rental agreements;
  • Attention to detail we will count on you to control the quality of the rental agreements produced;
  • A desire to fully understand all facets of real estate development and how rental fits into these activities;
  • An increased sense of organization you will have to support the team in monitoring the strict deadlines specific to negotiated agreements and compile the information contained in the rental agreements in the various service monitoring tools (diary;
  • rights tables). , file tracking tables, etc.);
  • An understanding of the RDPRM and the land register you will be called upon to register the lessor's rights in the RDPRM (publication, renewal, transfer of rank) and to validate certain information in the land register;
  • Great motivation for challenges.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma of college studies (DEC) in legal technology or attestation of college studies (AEC) in secretarial / office techniques with legal specialization or any other relevant diploma;
  • 5-8 years or more of experience in a similar position;
  • Familiarity with Yardi software, an asset
  • Knowledge of the RDPRM and the Land Register;
  • Organized and meticulous;
  • Ease of adaptation and flexibility;
  • Autonomy and proactivity;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities;
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, namely Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Space (an asset).
