SHIFT SUPERVISOR’s primary purpose is to support management in monitoring the day-to-day activities of employees in aiding in monitoring productivity, responsibility for work and ensure that business runs smoothly, and we deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive and safe work environment for employees.
Essential Functions
- Monitor, Plan and observe the day-today activities of employees, co-ordinates breaks, and keeps management informed of area activities and significant issues
- Creates an provides a safe and positive work environment free of harassment and violence
- Models company brand standards and adheres to all policies and SOP’s in a professional manner
- Completes opening, daily and closing procedures / checklist in accordance with company policies
- Operate cash registers and voids transaction as needed
- Follows all company cash handling policies and maintains proper security of cash at all times
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Resolves customer complaints in a manner consistent with policy and with customer satisfaction in mind
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with all H&S standards
- Prepares employee schedules, ensures coverage and delivers brand training for cross training
- Coaches, mentors and disciplines employees as required
- Implements product rotation based on product code dates, orders product and participates in inventory count on a monthly basis
- Places and receives product along with performing monthly inventory
- Deliver training for new employees
- Monitors compliance with safety guidelines, builds awareness about safety and reports injuries immediately
- Assists in Brand training
- Respond to guest injuries and property damage, complete reports when required
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 6 months supervisory / lead experience Food & Beverage, cash handling and customer service experience Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, policy documents as well as converse comfortable with customers Demonstrate ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner First Aid and Food Safety Certificate would be an asset
