What you will be doing :
As a Manager - Assurance, you will be reporting to the Partners and will be responsible for :
- Reviewing and revising, where necessary, all documents related to Review and / or Compilation Engagements to be presented to clients, including working papers, financial statements, planning documents, notes, attached schedules, management letters, and tax returns
- Providing constructive feedback on working papers for Review and / or Compilation Engagements and offering guidance and supervision to staff working on the project
- Actively participating in networking opportunities to cultivate relationships with referral sources and engage in business development with potential and existing clients.
- Attending final meetings with clients for Assurance and / or Compilation Engagements, and contributing to discussions
- Identifying potential planning opportunities for clients
- Ensuring timely resolution of all queries and outstanding issues to the satisfaction of clients.
- Assisting in the client billing process
- Assigning specific sections of projects to junior staff members based on their knowledge, experience, and capabilities, and ensuring proper supervision during each phase of the process
- Providing coaching and support to staff members, facilitating their development, and conducting performance evaluations as necessary
The Details
- This is a full-time permanent position with a Monday to Friday, flexible core hours work schedule in the client’s Burlington office with the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule after the probation.

What you will bring :
- Graduate of a University Accounting Program or equivalent
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
- 2-5 years post-designation experience in a public accounting firm
- Experience in a management accounting role
- Thorough understanding and experience with GAAP / GAAS, ASPE, CAS and CIS and Canadian Taxation
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to work cohesively with other team members to get projects completed
- Strong analytics and organizational skills
