We are looking to hire a dynamic Senior Marketing Manager for a great manufacturing client located in North York. Reporting to the EVP of Sales, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for all strategic and tactical marketing activities.

He / she will assist the EVP in developing overarching marketing strategies and will be responsible for developing and executing a marketing plan at the brand level across all channels including agency and distributor network, architects, engineers, and specification space.

Responsibilities :

  • Work with the leadership team in defining the company’s marketing strategic and brand level priorities and initiatives, this includes conducting competitive analysis, economic conditions and current brand share in both Canada and the US
  • Formalize and document a marketing strategic plan that achieves strategical and tactical goals set for the company, including managerial development and continuous improvement of direct report
  • Periodically provide updates to the leadership team on strategic plan
  • Prepare and submit the annual department budget, including capital expenditures
  • Assist with product management, which may include pricing development, margin analysis, pre-launch of new product with selected dealers, and image development among others
  • Coordinate with other company leaders on the go-to-market strategy for product and service offerings, including product launch, pricing, route-to-market and promotion
  • Conduct analysis market research to understand market trends and customer preferences
  • Maintain the company’s brand definition, recognition, and awareness in the market
  • Support the sales team with collateral and tools to aid in account penetration and new lead generation
  • Plan and direct all marketing events, including customer service events / conferences, customer contact events, industry events / trade shows, and regional manager meetings
  • Work with team to develop and maintain customer marketing tool / support, including production and management of all marketing collateral, product literature, and promotional items
  • Develop and monitor marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer experience
  • Provide external stakeholders (customers, shareholders, vendors) with information regarding the company, its people, policies, products, services, and dealer-related technical and professional information through newsletters and company grams
  • Direct and coordinate the development or collection of product assets such as imagery and videos, including distribution and tracking of effectiveness
  • Plan, design, and produce effective, user-friendly price books, quotation programs, and forms that promote and support the sales and ordering of company products
  • Execute any other duties as required

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or a related field of study
  • 7+ years of strategic and tactical go to market experience in B2B product marketing environment
  • Exposure to going to market within the engineers, architects, specification space
  • Experience in lighting and / or electrical components manufacturing / distribution industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management and team building skills with superior ability to achieve successful results through the use of negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to problem solve and remain resilient when working on and managing projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, multi-task and work with minimal supervision
