Marmon / Keystone Canada, a leading distributor of steel tube, pipe and bar products, is searching for an enthusiastic and hands-on Quality Control Leader.
Reporting to the general manager the QC leader will work directly with Branch Operations Managers and the Quality Improvement Manager to deploy systems and programs which ensure conformance with Corporate and customer quality requirements across six Canadian distribution branches.
Located on-site at Corporate Headquarters in Burlington Ontario, the QC Leader will be expected to regularly travel to the external distribution branches and occasionally to our Marmon / Keystone USA branches.
Responsibilities :
- Technical customer & supplier interface. Serves as technical liaison regarding ongoing quality improvement planning and APQP requirements / activities.
- Oversee customer PPAP requests & deliverables to ensure proper documentation and samples are submitted accurately in a timely manner.
- Understands and applies knowledge of industry standards for tube, pipe & bar (raw) products, and value-added (fabricated) parts.
- Support the Quality Improvement Manager in maintaining the ISO 9001 standard.
Minimum Requirements :
- A two or three year technical diploma
- 3 years of technical experience within the metals industry, preferably in distribution / fabrication
- 1 year of experience in a leadership / supervisory role providing multi-site direction to quality / operations teams, preferably serving with responsibility as QMS Management Representative
- Quality experience supporting implementation & use of quality tools, particularly in root cause analysis, 8D’s, A3’s, PPAPs, Process FMEA’s & Control Plans
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and working knowledge of using PowerBI an asset.
