Develop tax strategies that align with the organization's financial objectives and ensure compliance with tax legislation - Provide advice on tax planning initiatives and the potential tax implications of operational decisions - Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local tax regulations, Oversee the preparation and filing of all required tax returns - Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations and assess their impact on the organization - Oversee the preparation of tax provisions - Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax returns - Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them - Support the organization during tax audits and inspections, collaborating with external auditors and tax authorities - Identify opportunities for tax savings, credits and incentives - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure transactions and business activities in a tax-efficient manner - Manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training and coaching - Set performance targets and provide regular feedback to support team members' professional development - Respond to tax queries, tax notices and represent the organization at tax audits and inspections - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making - Provide tax advice and support to other departments as required Your assets for this position! D. or LL.B. degree. licensed to practice law and a member in good standing of any jurisdiction in Canada (assets) Minimum 8 years' experience in national and local taxation Knowledge of international taxation (asset) Sound knowledge of tax legislation and regulations Significant experience in international taxation, leading reorganization or tax optimization projects within large organizations Mastery of tax compliance software and financial systems Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Bilingualism : English required and French optional An ideal opportunity for a passionate, motivated, committed, experienced person who adapts well in a fast-moving environment.
