We are looking for a  Senior Developer  to join our client's Vancouver-based team. As passionate IT people, our client is faced with complex problems that are ideally solved with technology. Applying technology to support and manage a variety of business application systems as well as systems hardware infrastructure is critical to our client's continued success. You'll be joining a friendly, collaborative, tight knit group that works together to effectively apply technology to investment problems. They place high value on maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit and creating a culture where each of us has opportunities to succeed. You will provide the leadership for the team, including responsible for systems strategy, project planning and implementation as well as providing ongoing operations of related systems. Your team will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting business applications, as well as owning the entire systems development life cycle.

Here is what you will do on a day to day basis :

• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders and back-office users to solve business problems and improve efficiencies. Invest time and effort to learn about our order management system and how it integrates with other systems, end users and processes within company.
• Design, plan and implement solutions in an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Keep systems running smoothly through enhancements and operational support.
• Keep up to date on new technology and industry best practices and how to apply them within the team.

Salary : 120K-130K + bonus
