Position Summary

We are seeking a Controller to lead the financial reporting function of WELL Clinics, serving as a key leader within the organization championing the financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal control initiatives for a fast-growing, acquisitive public company reporting under IFRS. The ideal candidate will have Big 4 audit experience, as well as industry experience in financial reporting (preferably within an acquisitive organization) during which the candidate was responsible for +5 subordinate team members and successfully executed upon the innovation of various internal reporting processes.

What You Will Be Doing

• Oversee all accounting operations and transaction cycles, including general ledger preparation and monthly close, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal processes.
• Supervise and review the work of the financial reporting team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant internal and external financial reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, and assess impacts of changes in IFRS standards or business practices.
• Coordinate and review operating data and special reporting requests to ensure data integrity for business decision‑making.
• Prepare, review, and optimize reconciliations and working schedules across key financial statement areas including cash, accounts receivable, expected credit losses, physician payments, and rent receivables.
• Lead audit, controls, and compliance initiatives, ensuring strong internal controls and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Design and improve internal processes to enhance audit readiness, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to the financial reporting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage concurrent priorities including audits, acquisition integrations, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Partner with business unit leaders and stakeholders to provide financial insight and support high‑quality financial reporting.
