We are looking for a AZ Driver to join our team in Simcoe County.
Major (Primary) Responsibilities
- Complete proper pre / post operation circle checks
- Always operate truck in a safe and legal manner obeying all traffic laws, hours of service and load restrictions
- Responsible for delivery of aggregate material to various job sites and / or customers
- Ensure truck and trailers are maintained on a weekly basis including greasing
- Perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues;
- Work with construction supervisors when on a job site
- Always use company mandated safety equipment
- Ensure all company required paperwork is completed accurately and submitted daily
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture;
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others;
- Be a representative of Walker Industries to customers as a front-line worker.
Qualifications
- Experience operating a Triaxle with Pony Pup.
- AZ License Required
- Experience within the road construction industry.
- Some mechanical knowledge.
- Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
