Are you a seasoned mechanic with a passion for agriculture? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Ag Mechanic to join our dynamic team.

This is a full-time position that requires hands-on experience with John Deere equipment and other agricultural machinery.

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall management of our extensive agricultural equipment fleet.

Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Ag Mechanic, your main duties will include :

1. Performing regular diagnostic tests on agricultural machinery and equipment to identify any faults and malfunctions.

2. Carrying out necessary repairs and replacements, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.

3. Conducting regular maintenance checks and services on equipment, including oil changes, battery checks, and tire rotations.

4. Maintaining accurate records of each service or repair conducted, documenting all parts used and time spent.

5. Collaborating with other mechanics and staff to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.

6. Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the workshop, adhering to safe work practices at all times.

7. Keeping abreast of advancements in agricultural machinery and equipment, attending training sessions and workshops as required.

Qualifications :

To be considered for the role of Permanent Ag Mechanic, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills :

1. A minimum of 2+ years' experience as an Equipment Mechanic, specifically with John Deere and other agricultural equipment.

2. A thorough understanding of the mechanical and technical aspects of agricultural machinery and equipment.

3. Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.

4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.

6. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.

7. A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and machinery parts.
