Job Description

As the People & Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in aligning and enhancing people practices at the Westin Calgary Airport. Your primary focus will be on attracting, training, and retaining exceptional talent to ensure that high standards of service excellence and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the leadership teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that promote a positive work environment, support employee growth, and foster a strong sense of community and belonging.

Key Focuses

Recruitment and Staffing

• Supports the recruitment process from job posting through to new hire onboarding and orientation.
• Assists with screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring and onboarding activities in collaboration with managers.
• Maintains accurate reporting metrics to understand staffing trends.
• Develops and updates job descriptions and task lists as needed.
• Maintains Organization Charts as engineered by the Corporate team.

Working Conditions

This position may work long days and / or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This includes a combination of office-based work, meetings with team members and leadership. Works closely with the General Manager. This is a fast-paced working environment with high levels of interaction with employees and other stakeholders. The People & Culture Manager will spend time multitasking competing priorities, effectively supporting employees, solving problems and fostering a culture of service excellence.
