We are looking for a Certified Power Engineer at our High Prairie Oriented Strand Board (OSB) Division , located in High Prairie, Alberta .

Our mill is undergoing an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press which will make us the most modern mill in North America .

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications :

• 4 th Class Power Engineer Certification .
• Extensive operating and maintenance experience .
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills .
• Commitment to working safely .
• Strong communication, leadership & interpersonal skills .
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

In this role you will :

• Work with a high-performance team dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fire systems , process safety equipment , and newly built thermal energy system .
• Apply your expertise to the planning and execution of maintenance and regulatory efforts in the energy area.
• Show our commitment to excellence by maintaining records associated with compliance with environmental, ABSA and insurance standards .
• Pass on your knowledge and commitment to excellence by developing training systems and operating procedures.
• Train our team of Power Engineer Operators.
• Step in and take charge for the Chief Power Engineer when they are away.
