Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) :
Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team;
the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
- Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
- Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols
This is a PERMANENT FULL-TIME opportunity. Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights; rotating from 07 : 00 to 19 : 00, 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 hours.

Construction of the six-storey, Centennial Patient Care Tower was completed in May 2012. It includes an expanded emergency department and ambulatory care department, five new operating rooms, a rooftop helipad, an expanded adult inpatient psychiatric unit, and extra space for more patient beds in the future.
Kelowna General Hospital is the site of the brand new clinical academic campus for the University of BC Medical School.
A 36 bed unit with 1 overflow bed that can have us at 37 patients. KGH 3E is a team based nursing unit with 4 RN / LPN teams, as well as an RN / LPN float for day shift, and an RN float on night shift.
3E is a wonderful unit full of opportunity to consolidate and build nursing skills and competencies. This unit specializes in complex wound care, tracheotomies and plastic surgery.
