Truck Shop Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance
Job Description :
Key responsibilities :
- Lead safety by example and continue the development of a positive safety culture;
- Set expectations and accountabilities;
- Lead daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings;
- Execute maintenance plans as developed by Planning and Reliability;
- Work with Reliability and Planning teams to develop actions for continuous improvement of maintenance tasks and shop operations;
- Work with key stakeholders to achieve planned equipment availabilities; and
- Manage Tool Crib operations to ensure tooling is adequate and available.
This position is on a 14 days in / 14 days out rotation.
Qualifications :
- Legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Interprovincial Trade Certificate for Heavy Equipment.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in Open Pit Mining.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ supervisory experience.
- Detailed knowledge of established mining methods and operating practices.
- Working experience of multiple shovel / drill / truck / track equipment operations.
- Above average knowledge of the maintenance of Komatsu Equipment.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office particularly word processing and spreadsheets.
- General knowledge of mining and the integration of the mining, milling, and maintenance functions.
- Experience with Komatsu KOMTRAX and / or SAP an asset.
- Strong communication skills and Active Listening.
- Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental Standards.
