Job Description
Mission
You will be working in the CIMA+ Labrador City office reporting to the project engineers and the project manager on both greenfield and brownfield projects.
The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects
- Assist in electrical detailed design / analysis (related to electrical layouts, single line diagrams, connection / wiring drawings, load calculations, etc.
for major utility / industrial clients.
- Participate in detailed drawing review and mark-up for designers / drafters.
- Produce construction documents, such as scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules
- Complete projects from Kick-off through completion of Construction / Commissioning
Remuneration will include :
- Rate of pay according to our Interns salary range, based on relevant experience with a 37.5-hour work week.
- Air travel to and from Labrador City will be provided at the start and end of the work term
- Company vehicle will be provided throughout the work term (shared)
- Accommodations will be provided in Labrador West
- $45 per diem will be provided each day, including weekends
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Valid Canadian Driver's License is required
- Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test)
