About the Role :
Our client, a leading organization in the chrome plating industry, is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Oakville.
With over four decades of experience, our client is renowned for their top-tier chrome plating services and commitment to environmental sustainability.
They work with prestigious clients in the nuclear, manufacturing, and aerospace industries, providing a unique opportunity for the right candidate to engage in hands-on, high-level production work with nuclear components.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the chrome plating department, ensuring processes are followed and quality standards are met.
- Engage in hands-on work, building and handling expensive nuclear components.
- Review departmental operations and introduce innovative ideas and designs.
- Support production teams as needed, demonstrating a team-player attitude.
- Learn and master the chrome plating process, eventually leading projects independently.
Qualifications :
- Mechanical Engineer diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong background in design and fabrication, with experience in a machine shop environment.
- Hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in fabrication.
- Electrical knowledge and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work 75% hands-on in the shop and 25% on computer tasks.

Working Conditions :
- Full-time, permanent position with flexible hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work.
- On-site work in Oakville, with no travel required.
