About the job
The Canadian Business Development team is looking for a strong Sr. Associate Business Development Representative to help acquire, grow and retain customers within the territory.
Our team is responsible for prospecting and initiating sales cycles with current and prospective customers, as part of the company’s sales team.
This role seeks to identify opportunities through sourcing proactive leads (i.e. cold calling and strategic outreach) and processing reactive leads (i.
e. marketing-generated). We work collaboratively with the marketing and field sales organizations to position SAS offerings including Software, Cloud, Education, Consulting Services, Health Checks, Premium Support Services with an ultimate goal of growing pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
As a Sr. Associate Business Development Representative , you will :
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers, influencers, engineers and other stakeholders at current and prospective customers.
- Focus on incremental sales of SAS offerings to current and prospective customers, with focus on white space’ in large emerging enterprise customers.
- Participate in the development / execution of strategic territory and account plans.
- Qualify opportunities and identify appropriate sales channel for handoff.
- Generate incremental revenue through lead follow up, social selling, prospecting, cold-calling, up-selling and cross-selling activities within a territory or account.
- Prioritize sales engagements, customer inquiries and other activities to maximize revenue and territory performance.
- Follow up with customers to manage account relationship and to uncover additional opportunities.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, terminologies, basic software applications, operating systems, and hardware requirements.
Keep track of product availability and software bundles.
- Use internal CRM to keep information about business accurate and up to date.
- Develop an understanding of company pricing, policies and licensing procedures.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales or telesales in the technology industry.
- Relevant experience in advanced prospecting and strategic selling techniques, including knowledge of hardware or software acquisition cycles and buying influences.
- Ability to quickly establish and build relationships with customers, including comfortably interacting with all levels of decision makers and influencers.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a prospecting plan.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, high volume sales environment.
- Knowledge of sales tools such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and Salesloft is an asset.
