We're assisting a top client in their search for a highly skilled Senior Financial & Budget Analyst to join their growing team.
In this role, you'll play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining budgeting, forecasting, and reporting systems.
You'll also assist in creating and analyzing cost center budgets, providing insightful reports on financial performance, and ensuring strong financial controls are in place.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate on the creation, implementation, and maintenance of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting systems.
- Analyze financial data and trends to recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure spending stays on track.
- Partner with cost center managers to develop and analyze budgets, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
- Prepare regular reports that compare actual financial results to budget projections.
- Manage and maintain financial databases, software systems, and manual accounting systems.
- Offer ongoing advice and support to cost center managers on budgeting and financial controls.
- Participate in special projects as needed, including analyzing economic conditions and developing financial tools.
- Participate in external audits as part of the financial reporting process.
Skills And Qualifications :
- A university degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience applying financial and accounting principles to budgeting, reporting, and financial controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Experience working with financial information systems.
- Experience participating in external audits.
