Service Support Specialist - Science Graduates

Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Manufacturing industry to support the recruitment of a Service Support Specialist within the organization's Microscope Solutions team.
Reporting to the Service Manager, Microscope Solutions, the successful candidate will play a vital role in managing service consignment, repairs, quality control, and logistics for the division.
This role operates out of their Mississauga office, working in a hybrid capacity with 3 days a week on site required. Key Responsibilities :
- Manage inventory and distribution of Microscope Solutions for Service Consignment, ensuring quality, allocation, and shipping standards are met.
- Collaborate with the Service manager and Service Operations Coordinator to oversee in-house microscope repairs, including consignment, inventory, and customer orders.
- Maintain and contribute to the development of a web-based reporting system for service and support activities. Generate weekly and monthly reports and assist with inputting build sheets and custom forms.
- Provide assistance in field installations and packing of consignment and systems installations as needed, working alongside senior field support specialists or local representatives.
- Maintain warehouse organization and provide support to distribution coordinators
- Fulfill additional tasks, special projects, and duties as requested by the Service Manager and / or General Manager.
Essential Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in the field of science is preferred
- Comfortable with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP and knowledge of computer software and hardware assembly preferred.
Working Conditions :
- Work primarily conducted in office, warehouse, and service bay environments, with occasional fieldwork comprising up to 25% of the role.
- Exposure to laser systems may be required.
- Job training may involve occasional overnight travel to the U.S. for 3 4-day periods.
