Our client is seeking a SR Business Analyst with Project Management experience to support multiple security enhancements for a not for profit client.
Role Overview :
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (BA) with project management experience. This role focuses on internal IT improvement projects, particularly in the security domain, with numerous enhancements planned over the next two years.
The ideal candidate will balance both BA and PM responsibilities, leaning more towards BA.
Location : Based in Calgary or Edmonton. The role involves minor travel but is mostly remote.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct process work and create detailed documentation from a BA perspective. Ensure all processes are clearly defined and improved.
- Oversee and manage security-related projects. Coordinate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Provide guidance and support to a junior PM who has reached their capacity. Help manage additional workload and responsibilities.
- Bring strategic and tactical thinking to the team. Ask critical questions, introduce new ideas and processes, and serve as a sounding board.
- Manage projects within the security space, ensuring all security protocols and standards are met.
Must Haves :
- 8+ years as a Business Analyst
- 5+ years with Project Management experience
- Experience working on security projects
Nice to Haves :
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) and Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2).
- Worked with Medium to Large not for profits.
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading junior team members.
