Position Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team in Richmond and Surrey, BC. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of our production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, coach, and mentor production staff to achieve optimal performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety regulations, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to troubleshoot issues and optimize production workflows.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and equipment upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits, and providing training as needed.
- Manage inventory levels, raw material procurement, and production budgets to achieve cost targets and minimize inventory shortages or excesses.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in ready-to-eat products.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, CFIA) and quality management systems.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and optimizing production efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
