Security Systems Technician

About this role

We are recruiting for Security Systems Technician's to join our Victoria, BC, Service team . This position requires you to be a certified Electrician or Security System Technician. Here's how your role will strengthen our team :

Your responsibilities

• Working on various job sites to install, configure and commission various electrical Security, Access Control and Healthcare systems, including : CCTV Camera, Video surveillance, Access Door Controls, Intrusion Detection, Nurse Call, RTLS, etc
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams and other construction documents to ensure the correct installations, in residential, commercial and healthcare buildings.
• Respond to customer service calls, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve technical system problems.
• Work closely with customers to provide ongoing service, repairs and programming of electrical systems. Maintain accurate records of installs and service calls.
• Program and integrate different electrical Security and Access Control systems
• Train users on various products and systems (Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC, Avigilon)

Your experience and skills

Must be a member of the IBEW Union or willing to become one. All hiring is subject to IBEW 230's dispatch process.

Salary range : Compensation through the IBEW 230 Collective Agreement, plus great benefits and pension. For those hired in the Service division, a company Service Van, cell phone, and service clothing will be provided.
