Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer at Brother Canada. The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and delivering scalable, high-performance data solutions that empower better, faster, and simpler decision-making across the organization. Mentors team members and collaborates with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful results aligned with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of data pipelines from multiple sources; build and enhance database business logic (stored procedures, triggers, functions) to support ETL / ELT for analytics and operations.
• Manage modern data warehouses across AWS, Azure, and Snowflake; maintain and enhance AWS serverless pipelines using Step Functions, Fargate, Lambda, SAM, and API integrations; troubleshoot and debug.
• Own CI / CD deployment processes for Databricks jobs, serverless pipelines, and database scripts; drive automation with Docker and Jenkins.
• Develop and optimize pipelines to support ML models, simulations, and predictive analytics.
• Apply data governance best practices to ensure quality, security, and compliance; produce comprehensive documentation for developers and business users.
• Mentor data engineers and collaborate with analytics, IT, and business teams to align solutions with strategic objectives.
