Overview

Position Overview : Join Finning’s Fleet Management team and lead a group of technical experts supporting major mining customers across Western Canada. In this role, you’ll improve equipment performance, drive strategic site initiatives, and help customers achieve the safest, most productive, lowest cost operations possible.

What You Will Do

Lead & Develop a High‑Performing Team

  • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to technical specialists across multiple mine sites.
  • Build team capability through training, mentorship, and workforce planning.

Drive Customer & Performance Improvements

  • Partner with customer leaders to understand operational gaps and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead performance governance and present technical insights to stakeholders.
  • Work with Caterpillar and customer teams to improve key KPIs—availability, productivity, reliability, and cost per ton.
  • Advance Equipment & Fleet Optimization

  • Use data trends to deliver site performance improvements (MTBS, MTBF, MTTR).
  • Support product support strategies, maintenance planning, and fleet management initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on equipment selection, reliability, and mine operations.
  • What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in a mining service provider customer‑facing role OR mining producer experience in operations or mobile maintenance
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Confident presenting to senior leaders and influencing without authority
