Position Profile

We are seeking a Stores Person to join our Stores team in Sidney, BC. The Stores Person will maintain designated functions within the logistics and / or materials team.

Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and / or M&L Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely meeting Viking Air company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions.
• Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials
• Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders.
• Verifying orders.
• Shipping material as per order direction and / or Vikings Routing Guide.
• Shipping interbranch transfers (IBT).
• Coordinate and / or support logistics requirements.
• Processing all required documentation (FORM 1, Pro Forma, Customs Documents, RMA etc.).
• Safely operate stand up reach truck and / or counterbalance forklift.
• Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE).
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and / or manager.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• 2-5 years experience in international shipping.
• 2+ years experience shipping Dangerous Good.
• Forklift / reach truck certification.
• Experienced in MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP system.
