Network Engineer

1. Exceptional indepth knowledge of DNSarchitecture specifically industry standard ISC BIND &Microsoft DNS

2. Strong proficiency and provenability to differentiate between DNS fundamentals like queryingforwarding recursion delegation zone transfers and cachingmechanisms

3. Previous experience on IPAM or DDIplatforms Infoblox BlueCat or BT IPControl

4.Handson experience providing daily DNS / DHCP support to a largeenterprise network

5. Ability to conceptualizeand provide DNS solutions in case of mergers acquisitions anddivestitures

6. Advanced knowledge in IPmanagement network design and DNS / DHCP configuration &deployment

7. Experience with provisioningDNS / DHCP servers and providing ongoing engineering guidance tocrossfunctional departments

8. Goodunderstanding of domain ownership transfers domain registrars andPublic IP registration (ARIN)

9. Workingknowledge of Unix & Windows command shell using batch files andbash scripting

10. Solid skills introubleshooting network issues reverse engineering and root causeanalysis

11. Strong knowledge in switching &routing protocols L2 / L3 technologies extranets Cisco GSS / GSLB andfirewalls

12. Excellent communication (verbal& written) and technical documentation skills

13. Ability to convey complex technical requirements &solutions in an effective manner to requesting LoBs peers andmanagement

14. Willingness to learn adapt to newinfrastructure implementations and deliver projects withinspecified deadlines

15. Knowledge in MySQLquerying databases webserver redirection (HTTP / HTTPS) and filesystems on various platforms

16. Previousexperience on BT Diamond products and appliances is a definiteasset

17. Familiar with CDNs and Akamaitechnology offerings (e.g. Fast DNS Site Shield etc.) is a bigplus

18. Adept in concepts like load balancersVPNs SSH SFTP and performing packet analysis using tools likeWireshark

19. Product knowledge on Avaya &Cisco (incl. Nexus) switches
