We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our rapidly growing workforce. This is a salary position, offering starting compensation up to $80,000 annually, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

This position requires 40-50 hours weekly, with some flexibility. Work will be primarily based out of our company office in Niagara Falls.

Job Description

As a Dispatcher, you'll be pivotal in managing our company's main phone line. Your primary responsibilities will include efficiently handling client calls, assessing staff and resource availability, and scheduling jobs to meet client needs.

Moreover, you'll be the point person for addressing inquiries and concerns from employees, clients, and the public. Running daily operations reports, approving employee time off requests, and serving as the first point of contact in emergency situations are also key aspects of this role.

We're seeking a candidate who excels with written and verbal communication, demonstrates strong leadership qualities, and thrives in fast-paced environments with acute attention to detail.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel), Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets), and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Organized, punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Able to follow specific work instructions and understand applicable Construction and Employment Legislation.
  • Calm demeanor with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Fluency in English, oral and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Traffic Control Industry.
  • Verifiable understanding of OTM Book 7.
  • Experience using resource management software.
  • 2 years of dispatching experience or similar role.
  • 2 years of office experience in construction or a related industry.
