Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead – Mining

BBA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead for mine process plants to support our continued growth in Western Canada. The selected candidate will play a key role in all phases of engineering projects from front end studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailed engineering. As a senior member of the mechanical engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical quality, developing new business opportunities, and fostering team development.

• Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets, and proposals
• Perform high-level engineering on major mechanical packages such as : crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits, dewatering
• Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering
• Be a key team member for small to major brownfield / greenfield mining projects
• Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing (site visits will typically be 3-10 days at a time up to twenty-five days a year; these numbers are negotiable during the interview process)
• Provide mentorship and coaching of junior / intermediate engineers, actively sharing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the team
• Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high-quality professional deliverables
• Process plant layout design oversight : Strong asset
