Job Description :
Weare seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Network and SystemsAdministrator to oversee the availability security performance andoverall health of our computer network infrastructure.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for monitoring reportingand promptly addressing any issues to ensure uninterrupted networkoperations.
Additionally they will stay abreast of industry bestpractices and emerging technologies to enhance our informationtechnology systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and report on the availabilitysecurity performance and general health of hardware and softwarecomponents of the computer network.
- Identifyand track best practices trends and advances in the informationtechnology field for potential application within theorganization.
- Forecast internal and externalcustomer needs and requirements for information technologyapplications hardware networks and supportingtechnology.
- Provide technical problemsolvingassistance for communications information technology andtelecommunications applications.
- Manage andmaintain server and workstation security including firewallmonitoring VPN access wireless network security antivirus systemsand security certificate management.
- Administer VMWare systems and storage array systemsensuring their proper functioning and performance.
- Monitor and maintain server health including ActiveDirectory and Group Policy configuration support.
- Manage data backup solutions and perform backup datarecovery as needed.
- Provide helpdesk supportvia telephone and email addressing user inquiries and technicalissues.
- Ensure Windows operating systems areup to date by monitoring patch levels and scheduling softwareupdates for servers and workstations.
- Prepareannual reports on network health and activity detailing supportprovided.
- Conduct annual network healthreviews capacity planning and strategic planning for backupsfirewalls storage arrays servers and network hardware.
- Provide enduser support and training to enhance theirunderstanding of IT systems and security protocols.
- Assist in the development of IT business continuity plansto mitigate the impact of server failures destruction orcyberattacks.
- Conduct annual employee cyberawareness and security training sessions.
- Assist SIP staff in preparing cyber insurance renewalapplications.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology ComputerScience or related field.
- Proven experience asa Network and Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure securityprinciples and IT best practices.
- Proficiencyin server administration VMWare storage arrays and ActiveDirectory.
- Excellent problemsolving skills andattention to detail.
- Effective communicationand interpersonal abilities.
- Relevantcertifications (e.g. CCNA CompTIA Security MCSE) arepreferred.
