Our industry-leading client is adding to their team in Delta and seeking a strong Senior Accountant reporting to the Accounting Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will possess a CPA designation or be close to completion and have a track record of progressive experience within a complex, multi-company, currency environment.
Responsibilities will include :
- Responsible for bank accounts reconciliation and revaluation for all entities.
- Recording and reconciling inter-company and related-party transactions and preparing reports.
- Performing various reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
- Researching and analyzing transactions to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
- Assisting with month-end closings and completing month-end tasks as assigned.
- Preparing consolidated financial statements and assisting with note disclosures and supporting documents.
- Performing financial reporting variance analysis.
- Participating in the implementation of process improvements and development of value-added reports, including creating new and improving existing working papers.
- Liaising with external auditors and assisting with quarterly and YE audits.
- Providing financial information to both external and internal users.
- Assisting with budget planning.
- Assisting with tax filings.
- Maintaining financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Maintaining financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Assisting with transfer pricing modeling, posting, and reconciliations.
- Assisting with cost tracking and allocation.
- Assisting with inventory count and inventory adjustments.
- Assisting with government and industry compliance and regulatory reporting
Job Requirements :
- Skills and experience for this role include;
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including knowledge of GAAP.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
- Analytical skills, and extreme attention to detail.
- Time management and priority management skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Self-starter requiring limited supervision and a desire to work in a team environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs and an advanced Excel user.
- Experience with ERP systems and database systems is highly preferred.
- Working with other members of the Accounting team to ensure goals and objectives are met
