Foreman

On behalf of our clients, Matchbox Consulting is seeking a Foreman for a leading general contractor specializing in commercial concrete tilt-up construction .

Job Overview : As the Foreman for commercial concrete tilt-up construction, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure the efficient and safe execution of projects.

You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and crew members to achieve project milestones while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage construction crews in all phases of the project, including layout, forming, pouring, and finishing of concrete tilt-up panels.
• Coordinate with superintendent to develop and implement construction schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgetary constraints.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to effectively plan and execute project tasks.
• Supervise and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client expectations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve issues, and maintain project progress.
• Train and mentor crew members to develop their skills and enhance overall team performance.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors, to provide updates and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor, equipment usage, and materials, to track project costs and performance.
• Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience working as a Foreman or similar leadership role in commercial concrete tilt-up construction projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction crews.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites as needed.
