Electrical Coordinator
A proven and growing electrical contractor in Mississauga is currently looking to add a focused career driven electrical coordinator / jr.
project manager to their team! This group is looking for their future leaders and you will be mentored directly by the lead senior pm! Ideally, you will have 2-4+ years of experience in the ICI contracting market, preferably with an electrical background.
The Project Coordinator will assist with the overall project performance and keep a close relationship with their mentor and the senior project manager to help ensure construction projects run smoothly on time and on budget.
Requirements :
- Electrical Engineering, Construction Technical Diploma and / or equivalent trade experience and knowledge
- 2-4+ years’ experience in a coordinator role, preferably electrical contacting or electrical engineering
- Working knowledge of Accubid software and AutoCAD preferred
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry
- Ability to read drawings and some exposure to design build projects is preferred
- Planning and scheduling skills
- Competency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
- Basic understanding of project forecasting and projections
Responsibilities :
- Assist the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met.
- Work with and ensure all health and safety policies are followed / met.
- Assist in planning and preparing of construction schedules
- Monitor the jobs progress against set timelines
- Assist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections
- Estimate project changes and impacts
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs
- Build and maintain customer and supplier / vendor relationships
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Document control
- Assist in purchasing supplies and materials as required to complete projects
