EBCInc. is seeking a Superintendent to join our team at the John HartDam Seismic Upgrade Project. As a member of our Civil team you willprovide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure thesuccessful execution of various heavy civil projects which mayinclude tunneling highways infrastructure earthworks andhydroelectricprojects.

Reportingdirectly to the Construction Manager and Project Superintendent theSuperintendent will have the followingresponsibilities :

• Preparefor project startup with the General Superintendent and AssistantGeneral Superintendent and Project Manager. Execute projectactivities as required to meet daytoday and overallobjectives.
• Understandand apply the requirements in project documents with regard toquality control procedures such as testing shop drawings materialapprovals samples mockups execution of the worketc.
• Becomefamiliar with each job estimate for general condition items andfollow the direction of the General Superintendent with regard toperforming work within the boundaries of theestimate.
• Keepthe General Superintendent and Assistant General Superintendentapprised of any change in activity or cost prior to incurringadditional time or materials outside of the projectscope.
• Provideinput on scheduling and placement of production crews. Plan andreview the construction project with the General SuperintendentAssistant General Superintendent and Project Manager on a weeklybasis.

Supervise the scheduling and completion of warrantyissues.

• Assistthe General Superintendent and Assistant General Superintendent inthe preparation of progress schedules keep them properly updatedand ensure that everything feasible is done for the project to meetthe requireddates.
• Supportthe General Superintendent to ensure timely onsite delivery ofmaterials and equipment furnished by the Company andsubcontractors.
• Directand train the foremen and field staff to ensure their continueddevelopment by use of performance evaluations varying assignmentsand promoting positive projectmorale.
• Workwith the Safety Director to establish and maintain good safety andsecurity practices for the entire project in accordance withapplicable safety codes andregulations.
• Developfinal punch lists and ensure all project tasks arecompleted.

Requirements

• Civilconstruction experience is anasset.
• Relatedjob experience of 5 years in construction supervision working onheavy civil projectspreferred;
• ValidBC DriversLicense;
• Proficient inthe English language (written and oral) with strong interpersonaland communicationskills;
• Advancedskills in management negotiation communication and problemsolving;
• Excellenttime management skills and ability to multitask and prioritizework;
• Beselfmotivated anddriven.

• Civil construction experience is an asset. Related job experienceof 5 years in construction supervision, working on heavy civilprojects, preferred;
