Position : General Manager Location : Toronto, Midtown We are seeking a dynamic and upbeat General Manager to lead our client's team at their boutique restaurant! Job Description : As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant operations.
You will lead a team of junior and part-time employees, ensuring they are motivated and well-trained. Your goal will be to achieve sales and labor targets, manage costs, and adhere to budgets, all while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities : - Leadership and Motivation : Manage and inspire a team of junior and part-time employees. - Sales and Budgets : Achieve location's sales and labor targets, manage costs, and adhere to budgets.
- Operational Excellence : Oversee restaurant activities to meet and exceed food quality, safety, hygiene, and inventory standards.
- Guest Experience : Ensure a positive experience for guests by delivering high-level service and understanding their needs.
- Team Development : Coach and develop team members through continuous feedback, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
- Problem Solver : Handle guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring the best guest experience. - Policy Enforcer : Respect and enforce all policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Continuous Improvement : Review restaurant operations to identify opportunities for improvement. - Administrative Tasks : Execute various administrative tasks as requested by the owners and Head Office team.
Requirements : - Post-secondary diploma / degree in Business or Hospitality. - Minimum of 3 years' management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Experience managing a team of 15 or more, including training and coaching, with strong leadership and communication skills.
