About The Role & Team

As a Sales Account Manager you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the growth and shape the future across your regional territory. You will be responsible for existing customer relationships within your territory, while seeking opportunities to increase our customer’s value from SITA’s portfolio of products and services, acquire new customers, and retain existing customers. You should have a business‑development or consulting background, experience working with customers at the CxO / VP level, and a strong understanding of legacy and emerging industry solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Define and execute a strategic territory and account development plan that aligns with SITA’s strategic direction, in partnership with key internal stakeholders.
  • Manage key accounts throughout an assigned territory across multiple sectors.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets while meeting customer satisfaction indicators.
  • Drive business development and profitable growth within the assigned territory.
  • Use Salesforce.com and other data and analytics tools to support sales activities.
  • Prospect and build a large network within the assigned territory to provide sub‑contracting and partnering opportunities.
  • Maintain an optimal mix of product and services sold to customers in line with the SITA business plan.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and liaison with legal teams.
  • Manage expenses against budget.
  • Debrief win / loss results and share competitive insights.
  • Represent SITA at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
  • Lead or resolve commercial issues that may cause non‑payment to support cash collection.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sales, business development, consulting, product management, project management, or customer solutions development experience with customers in the travel industry.
  • 7+ years of domain knowledge of systems, applications, and the technology provider landscape in the air transport industry.
  • Experience in sales forecast accuracy to predict your sales performance.
  • Analytical, data‑driven, and capable of balanced strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Experience managing across matrix organisations and influencing without direct authority.
  • Customer service experience when dealing with accounts.
  • Experience facilitating, participating in, and driving account development plans.
  • Experience building client relationships at the CXO or senior‑management level.
  • Excellent understanding of financial management.
  • Strong understanding of contract structure and legal implications.
