As a Body Controls Calibration & System Test Engineer , you’ll play a critical role in developing and validating the electronic control systems that bring our vehicles to life.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll own technical solutions from concept through validation, act as a subject matter expert, and collaborate across teams to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality vehicle systems.
The Body Controls Calibration and System Testing Team is looking for a Body
Electronics Calibration and System Test Engineer to join our organization! Our
area is rapidly growing and is being transformed due to the adoption of software defined architecture. In Body electronics system test space, we calibrate and validate different customer facing features in functional areas like Exterior and Interior Lighting, Vehicle Access, occupant Protection, Cabin Comfort, etc. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in future technologies GM is introducing in Body Electronics / Mechatronics space
Hybrid : This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to
perform most effectively. This position requires the employee to be on-site 3-5
days per week. Hands-on work is required to be successful in this role
What You’ll Do
Lead test automation development and execution for relevant body controls
products.
Lead and execute certification relevant activities for body electronics
software features.
Collect data using advanced test equipment.
Analyze, review results and document failures via PRTS, Jira etc.
Author validation reports (CG190 etc.)
Participate in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, DSU etc.)
Support issue root cause analysis and resolution
