Sr. SAP BW / BI Developer to develop, test, and support SAP BW / 4HANA, SAP BOBJ, and SAP SAC for our public sector client.

Location : Richmond Hill Hybrid (2 days per month on-site)

Duration : 3m (possible extension to 6m)

Hours : 7 hours per day (On-call / standby evenings and weekends are required must be available to work evenings, flex shifts, extended hours and statutory holidays when required)

Overview :

Reporting to the Supervisor, Application Services (SAP Support Team), the Systems Analyst - SAP BW / BI Developer is accountable to collaborate with the business user community, provide exceptional support of SAP BW / 4HANA, SAP BOBJ, modules that facilitates SAP utilization, and implements process improvements and integration.

The Systems Analyst - SAP BW / BI Developer will be responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, testing and support of the SAP BW / 4HANA and SAP BI portfolio (existing SAP business systems) as well as will lead reporting requirements definition, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of new solutions in the SAP landscape leveraging solid application architecture and development principles for an SAP environment.

Responsibilities :

• Interpret business requirements, perform analysis, and translate functional requirements into technical system specifications.
• Create SAP WRICEF solutions including design of SAP BW, and SAP BI.
• Perform hands-on development, testing, maintenance, and support of SAP BW / 4HANA, SAP BOBJ, SAP SAC.
• Perform application design and code reviews to ensure uniform standards are maintained.
• Write and maintain various systems documentation, change management procedures, operational support documents, training guides and release notes.
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems as part of a continuous improvement strategy; recommend and implement improvements as appropriate.
• Provide Tier 2 SAP application support, identify remediation actions, and manage the implementation of improvements.

Must have skills :

• Minimum 8 to 10+ years of experience in SAP BW HANA development , SAP BI / BW, SAP BW4HANA, SAP SAC, SAP BOBJ, SAP PI / PO, SAP BTP .
• In-depth exposure to SAP Gateway Services, SAP Cloud Connector, CDS views, ODATA services
• Experience in SAP HANA Modeling with HANA Studio, SAP BW4 HANA, SAP BW on HANA, Native HANA with SDA / SDI, SAP HANA 2.0.
• Experience in Data Models; SAP HANA data modeling using attribute View, Analytic View, and Calculation View, SAP HANA Programming including SQL, SQL Script, Variables, and Input Parameters.
• Experience in SAP BW / BI Components like Data source, User Exits, Process Chains, Remote Cubes, Data Mart and Open Hub Service, Analysis process Designer (APD), FTPs.
• Experience in Front-End Business Warehouse components like Business Object Dashboard development, Lumira, Query Development, Calculated / Restricted figures, Structures, Variables, BEx Analyzer.
• Additional Skills : SQL Developer, SAP ABAP Coding and SAP FIORI development.
• Experience in Production Support Skills including Data loads, Reporting, performance issues, and Data compression activities.

Nice to have skills :

• Excellent working knowledge of the following SAP modules as well as related integrations / interfaces would be an asset : SAP BPC, SAP FICO, SAP Payroll, S / 4 HANA, Success Factors.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is an asset.
• SAP Certifications, such as SAP BI / BW, SAP BPC, BOBJ would be considered an asset.
• ITIL or PMP designation would be considered an asset.
