In this exciting role of Graphic Designer / Videographer you will work with the marketing team to create informative and dynamic videos that demonstrate product effectiveness and educate end-users on product features or industry trends.

Job Description

Rampart is looking for a Graphic Designer / Videographer to join the marketing team supporting our fast paced and exciting Law Enforcement sales program.

In this role, you will help conceptualize and design video content to support dynamic , digital advertising campaigns, print material, and more, taking requirements from concept to completion.

This job requires both video production and graphic design abilities, although video is the more important of the two abilities.

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, a self-starter, and willing to put themselves in the middle of the action to ensure success.

This position is based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Responsibilities within the team

• Contribute to world-class brand representation for the products distributed by Rampart
• Contribute to the vision for look, feel and functionality on multiple projects of varying size
• Create mock-ups, design concepts quickly and independently
• Explain the rationale for your creative choices

Design responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing team to execute design concepts that meet project objectives and timeline.
• Use creative storytelling techniques to engage audiences and enhance brand awareness through video editing
• Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for marketing campaigns, product showcases, and social media platforms.
• Develop visually appealing and cohesive designs for digital and print materials, including but not limited to brochures, banners, advertisements, packaging, and branding assets.
• Create marketing and sales support documents to send to prospective customers (one-pagers, spec sheets).
• Produce graphics for trade shows (banners, handout material).
• Design and develop visually striking and user-friendly website landing pages to drive engagement and conversions.
• Prepare print-ready files with attention to detail and accuracy for production.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design or video production
• Strong editing and storytelling abilities
• Proficient in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere (or equivalent) software
• Proven experience in web design, print / digital assets and social media content
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• A proven record of being able to deliver on projects
• An understanding of how to research information and apply that knowledge to design and marketing
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong writing skills
• Proven multitasking skills; creative design capabilities and working knowledge of social media optimization through applicable platforms
• Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google AdWords, and web analytics)
