Job Summary :
The Experienced Dispatch Agent serves as the communication base and control center for all winter operations departments as well as Ski Patrol.
Job Specifications :

- Expected Pay Range : $21.00 - $26.56 / hour
- Shift & Schedule Availability : Full Time
- Skill Level : Intermediate
Job Responsibilities :
- To continually strive to exceed our Guest's expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.
- To coordinate Patrol operations involving dispatching Patrollers to accidents, organizing medical evacuations and other emergency scenarios.
- Delegate appropriate personnel and resources to situations such as : ski lift breakdowns, avalanches and emergency injury scenarios.
- Maintain daily Patrol Dispatch for all daily operations including : Injuries, ski run trail checks, and avalanche control and accident investigation.
- Ensures transport of Guests and or Staff off the slopes of Whistler or Blackcomb mountains.
- Maintain Dispatch Office and supplies.
- Assist Patrol with Sweep.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
- Working knowledge of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain layouts and operation a definite asset.
- Familiar with emergency procedures in regards to such activities as avalanche control, medical emergencies and ski lift breakdowns.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, carrying out multi-tasking duties and remaining calm and alert at all times.
- Recognize priorities when under pressure and understand the sense of urgency required for different emergency situations.
- Working knowledge of computer (Microsoft Word / Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team play.
