Job Summary

The Asset Protection Partner protects the assets of a store against theft and works with the Leadership team to maintain operational controls to reduce shortage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
• Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and via CCTV to identify, observe, apprehend or deter external thefts.
• Adhere to all laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, searches, seizures and evidence preservation.
• Prepare reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audits.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security and other retailers.
• Testify in court on behalf of the company where summoned.
• Provide new hire and continuous employee trainings to maintain loss prevention awareness.
• Conduct store self‑audits, checklists and safety inspections, communicating findings to Leadership and District Loss Prevention Manager.
• Assist Leadership with inventory preparation and process.
• Partner with stores and DLPM in shrinkage prevention plans.
• Meet required weekly hours: Full Time 30‑40 hrs/week, Part Time 16‑20 hrs/week.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
• Meet all licensing requirements of the province or local jurisdiction.
• Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching in loss prevention techniques.
• Proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel is desirable.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Availability to work flexible hours—including evenings, weekends and holidays—and at multiple locations within a market.

Physical Requirements

• Work in a fragrance‑filled environment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Bend and stretch to stock shelves.

Compensation

CAD$17.50 – CAD$20.60 per hour, plus potential performance‑based bonus, competitive benefits, learning and development.
