Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Director, Project and Portfolio Management Office on a permanent basis on our Innovation team.

This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across western Canada.

Join our dynamic team as the leader of our IT Project and Portfolio Management Office (PPMO), where you'll drive strategic and tactical IT projects, complex initiatives, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do :

• Provide leadership and clarity in defining project criteria and align budget and spending with business units for all PPMO-delivered projects.
• Provide leadership and direction to the PPMO, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement in IT project management processes and methodologies.
• Manage the portfolio of projects and priorities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and alignment with business objectives, while reviewing and scoring business cases based on established criteria.
• Establish and manage Capex and Opex budgets during the planning and execution phases, and develop robust project intake, approval processes, and stage gates for tracking IT project progress.
• Oversee performance evaluation, stakeholder communication, and risk management across the portfolio, ensuring transparency and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
• Lead and support a team of Project and Program Managers, ensuring proper staffing, mentoring, and performance management, while fostering strong relationships between IT PPMO and business units to achieve enterprise goals.

Who you’ll work with :

The Team : You will report to the AVP of IT Transformation and lead a team of Program Managers and Business Relationship Manager.

Additionally, you will oversee indirect reports, including Quality Assurance Manager, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Training Analysts, Systems Analysts, and both internal and external Consultants.

This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation and driving results.

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Project Management & Business Analysis and :

• Have 10+ years of IT project or program management experience, including a minimum of 5 years as a people leader.
• Have a University Degree in Computer Science or Business. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
• Are a Member of the Project Management Institute. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP)certification is an asset.
