Job Description :
Our client is a significant player in the home building sector with a growing team in the Markham area. They are looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to the team with strong Financial Modelling skills and strong business acumen.
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Business Development, the role of the Senior Financial Analyst provides overall support for the assessment and analysis of new business opportunities, as well as performs day-to-day accounting and finance related tasks for pre-assigned projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES include (but are not limited to) :
- Create, maintain, and review the proforma budgets and financial models.
- Provide analysis regarding the acquisition, development, financing, the optimal capital structure, and stakeholders return, as per the joint venture contract, for the Company’s investments in land and building holdings.
- Translate proforma requests to operational budgets and cash flow analysis.
- Review the development and construction budgets, including timely update of the cost-to-date and estimated-cost-to-complete, as directed.
- Review and provide comments on any other internal reports that may be prepared from time to time.

Job Requirements :
- CPA or close to completion
- 2+ years complex financial modelling experience in real estate
- Strong Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
