Incorporation Rate : $100 - $110 CAD / hr (Canada or Provincial incorporation is a MUST)

Contract period : 01 / 05 / 2026 to 12 / 16 / 2026 with additional 24 months extension.

Skill Matrix – Must Have

Education : Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study.

Professional Licenses / Certification : Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).

Work Experience :

8+ years of Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring developers and technical leads.

5+ years of Experience architecting, managing, and maintaining Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters.

8+ years of Experience identifying and assessing requirements within multiple architecture domains e.g. business, application, technology, data / information, security, and privacy.

7+ years of Experience in documenting application architectures in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.

7+ years of Experience in planning, designing, implementing and supporting platform solutions in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.

Skill Matrix – Nice to Have

Work Experience :

5+ years of Collaborate with data architects, engineers and analysts to design and optimize cloud architecture and services.

5+ years of Experience in contributing or developing application architecture standards and guidelines.

5+ years of Experience working as an application architect designing or maintaining solutions that use enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) hub architecture registries.

5+ years of Experience working as an application architect developing a solution using amCharts charting framework in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.

5+ years of Experience working as an application architect developing mobile solutions in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.

5+ years of Experience working with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top Ten Web Application Security Flaws.

Job Description

Project Name : Alberta Courts Technology Ecosystem

Scope : Court Technology Services, within the Alberta Courts is seeking a senior enterprise architect to support and oversee the technology ecosystem of the Alberta Courts.

Duties

Develop and Maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) Frameworks

Align Technology with Business Strategy

Assess Current State Architecture and Create Target State Architectures

Guide Large‑Scale Transformation Projects

Set Standards, Principles, and Governance

Evaluate and Recommend Technologies

Collaborate with Stakeholders

Model Business Processes and Capabilities

Risk and Security Management

Support Solution Architects and Engineering Teams

Cost Optimization and Technical Debt Management

Equipment Requirements

Alberta Courts will supply laptop or desktop

Working Hours

Standard Hours of work are 08 : 15 – 16 : 30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province

Work must be done from within Alberta, due to network and data security issues.

The role will be hybrid, however in the event of an onsite meeting, the GoA does not pay for travel to attend on‑site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing / accommodation, food / drink.

Notes on Work Model and Location

The role is expected to follow a hybrid model, which may include a minimum of three days in the office, typically Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one other scheduled day. This arrangement is subject to change and can be discussed further with the selected candidate.
