AECOM is seeking an intermediate level Hydrogeologist to join our Ontario Geosciences Team (Hydrogeology Group), based from our office in Mississauga, Ontario.

This position will support our Environment Business Line. The Hydrogeologist will be responsible for supporting and growing operations of the Hydrogeology, Geotechnical and Geo-environmental groups across Ontario.

This position is a full-time role and is expected to begin in November 2022.

Job Description

  • The candidate will report directly to the Hydrogeology Operations Manager, and will work collaboratively with other members of the Ontario Geosciences (Hydrogeology, Geotechnical and Geo-environmental) Team, external sub-contractors / consultants, clients, as well as professionals within other internal AECOM business lines.
  • Coordinate field programs and visit field sites as required.
  • Support a strong team Health and Safety culture.
  • Undertake technical work in accordance with contract scope of work and budget, and to company, professional, quality, and legislative standards.
  • Preparation of technical reports in the disciplines of Hydrogeology, Geotechnical Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
  • Monitoring project performance vs. budgets and developing strategies for corrections.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies, and add value to client service offerings.
  • Key Performance Indicators :
  • Quality, scope / budget compliance, SH&E, client satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Geosciences, Geology, Hydrogeology or, other related fields.
  • 2 years’ experience in an environmental consulting or engineering management company.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license with own transportation and valid insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Geosciences, Geology or Hydrogeology preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in an environmental consulting, or engineering management company.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.
  • Strong staff coordination and communication skills (both written and oral).
