Assistant Controller

Our Client - an international and world renowned manufacturing company is looking for an Assistant Controller to join the team in the Vancouver Head Office.

This position reports directly to the CFO and will have two direct reports.

An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Full Cycle Managerial Accounting Experience, CPA designation and experience with multi company / multi subsidiary environment

Location : Vancouver, BC

Responsibilities

As the Assistant Controller in Vancouver, you will be responsible for :

• Reviewing all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions for all companies and monitoring purchasing activities,, control cash disbursements and monitor Accounts Payable performance.
• Reviewing GL including : Inter-company transactions and eliminations, subledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, recurring entries, foreign exchange revaluations, investment income reconciliations
• Production of relevant and timely financial information to the Management which requires keeping abreast of stakeholders' information requirements.
• Responsible for organizing and compiling annual budget data

Qualifications

As the Assistant Controller in Vancouver, you will bring to the table :

• 5+ years of Full Cycle Managerial level accounting experience in a multi company / multi subsidiary environment
• Extensive experience supervising Senior Accountants
• Experience with foreign exchange rates and familiarity of U.S GAAP
