The Opportunity :
We’re seeking a talented and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Estimator . As an Estimator, you’ll play a crucial role in the success of our projects by accurately assessing the costs associated with each job.
From materials and labor to logistics and overhead, you’ll provide essential insights that enable our team to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and vendors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes including specific product information.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project scope and gather additional information as needed.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses.
- Utilize industry knowledge and historical data to accurately forecast costs and identify potential risks.
- Review and negotiate vendor proposals to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Track project expenses and update estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Aid clients in the showroom by answer their questions, giving quotes and taking down orders.
Key Qualifications :
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an estimator in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in mathematics, keen attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingualism is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain long-lasting customer relationships.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in recognizing potential challenges and coming up with inventive solutions.
- Experience with CRM systems, Excel, Stack pro, Mozaik and construction industry software.
- Possess a valid "G" driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
