Job Description

The FP&A team leads the finance organization to implement best of breed industry practices and processes in a dynamic and growth driven environment.

Our mission is to innovate with visualization tools, re-engineered processes, and insightful analytics. As Senior Financial Analyst reporting to the FP&A Director, you will be responsible for a set of business activities and to respond to Ad-Hoc requests with professional, data-driven actionable analytics.

  • Develop and maintain the FP&A framework to support budgeting, forecasting, business reviews, and long-term strategic planning
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), reports and dashboards to bring insightful actionable data and support management decisions
  • Work closely with Finance Directors and their business partners to understand business unit’s operations and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with the BI team to ensure that the necessary data models are available
  • Produce new reports and maintain existing ones using Power BI, with the data sets provided by the BI team
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of available data from various data sources.
  • Perform periodic and ad hoc reports for senior management and various departments as required
  • Promote advanced analytics as well as using technology to advance the FP&A organization and analytical culture
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders at Head Office and across divisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or administration
  • CPA designation considered an advantage
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and superior learning ability; Team player; Detailed oriented, very organized and takes pride in providing complete and accurate information
  • Natural communication skills that quickly adapts to different level stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working as part of a large, complex organization with multiple divisions and locations
  • Strong analytical mind with business acumen, enjoying tackling issues at their root
  • Knowledge and proficiency in accounting and financial systems and software; knowledge of Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint, Power BI is essential;

Power Query, D365, RECY, Maximo, will be considered an asset

  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a growing environment
  • Bilingualism (French / English) both oral and written.
