Job Purpose :

To manage all phases of machine automation control design and developments and problem-solve manufactured equipment.

Responsibilities :

Be responsible for the design and management of the automation controls team for the BE, Deacro and Gamma product lines.

Maintaining standardization and competency in the design.

• Schedule & plan workloads of the design teams.
• Manage and mentor the electrical design team.
• Implement new electronic technologies.
• Be responsible for technical improvements, in addition to presenting and participating in the review of designs
• Take part in the improvement of the current Machine programs and electrical systems
• Design, and support commissioning of the BE, Deacro and Gamma product lines and associated equipment
• Support the documentation department on all equipment and make recommendations.
• Provide appropriate input in writing, updating and correcting various system documentation, as necessary
• Conducting analysis for the development and implementation of application systems

Job Requirements :

• Converting knowledge and experience
• Graduate of post-Secondary School studies
• Ability to interact and deal effectively with customers using excellent interpersonal communication skills
• 5+ years of experience in the use of AutoCAD electrical
• 5+ years of experience in design and troubleshooting of automated machinery
• Complete assigned work within the established schedule
• Be able to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 2 to 6 weeks per year
• Understanding of CSA standard and IEC62062, ISO12100 & ISO13849-1 Standards
• Demonstrate proficiency : In design working with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Omron PLCsIn design working with Proface, Allen Bradley, Omron HMI systemsIn design working with Servo and A / C drivesIn design and with troubleshooting pneumatic & hydraulic systemsin PLC operation, integration, and programmingin AutoCAD, Excel, Word
