A typical day :
- Negotiate temporary workspaces and access agreements / permits. Prepare and submit applications
- Engage with landowners and key stakeholders regularly and respond to inquiries and interests in a prompt and consistent manner pertaining to pipeline operations and related matters.
- Track and maintain communication log for all third-party interactions including but not limited to stakeholder notifications for pipeline operations and in support of the public awareness program.
- Collaboratively engage with multiple business units to provide land and damage prevention related support, balancing multiple competing priorities.
- Support risk-mitigation and the resolution of new and legacy issues to foster stakeholder relationships and ensure adherence to the companies standards and policies.
Successful candidates will have :
- Must be bilingual (French & English).Candidates must have an Oil & Gas background.Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record is required.
- Post-secondary education in related field of property, real estate, legal. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in geography, urban planning, real estate, or business-related discipline.
- Real Estate License, IRWA SR / WA designation is preferred
- Understanding of legal issues related to land acquisition and easements for pipeline operations required
- Interpret legal plans, land title documents, easement documents and technical drawings required
- Proven conflict resolution, planning, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills including the ability to influence in sensitive situations required
- Preferred Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including Canadian Energy Regulator Act, Damage Prevention Regulations, and CSA Z662
