Your search is over a PSW with Home Care Assistance is the job for you! We are seeking PSWs for a community client in the Gravenhurst area to provide respite.
Shifts vary from mornings to evenings. We are seeking part-time to full-time individuals who are available to pick up shifts as needed.
DSWs are welcome to apply! Job Benefits : Competitive pay Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week* 4% Vacation Pay on every pay Flexible hours and schedule 4 hour shift minimum The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following : Provide respite care to family Take client on engaging outings and provide companionship Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support Provide behavioural support and crisis intervention Maintaining open communication with client and their family Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates Responding to all emergency situations All other duties, as assigned Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to : PSW or DSW certification is required Valid First Aid / CPR certificate Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check CPI training is an asset Satisfactory professional references Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters Please submit the appropriate documents for review.
